I’ve had bad haircuts before. How is this different?
We hear this a lot. Pyramid shapes, uneven lengths, stylists who did not get curly hair. The Boncomb team includes stylists trained specifically for textured hair, and we cut dry so the shape is true. We take our time, and we do not pick up the scissors until you are confident in the plan.
Why a dry cut for curls?
Curly hair shrinks when it dries, sometimes up to 50% or more. Cut wet, you cannot predict where each curl springs. Dry cutting shows the real pattern, so we shape each curl to a result that looks the way you want once it is dry.

Will my curls frizz in Texas humidity?

How should I arrive for my consultation?
Come with your hair in its natural curl state. No flat ironing, no blow-drying straight, no braiding beforehand. Wash and style as you normally would, and call us if you are unsure, so we see how your curls naturally behave and cut them right.
