Does brow waxing hurt?
There is a brief moment when the wax is removed, but it lasts seconds. We use high-quality hard wax that grips hair rather than skin, which lowers the sensitivity a lot. Most clients find it far easier than expected, and the result lasts longer than tweezing at home.
Can I get my brows done if I use retinol or have sensitive skin?
If you use retinoids, stop applying them around your brows 3-5 days before your appointment. For sensitive skin, tell us and we use extra-gentle products and technique. If you have reacted to waxing before, we can talk about a tweezing-only shape instead.
Will waxing make my brow hair grow back thicker?
No. That is a common myth. Over time, waxing tends to weaken the follicle, which can lead to finer, sparser regrowth. Your brows will not suddenly get bushier because you started waxing.
How often should I get my brows waxed?
Every 3-4 weeks works for most women. That timing allows enough regrowth for an effective wax while keeping the shape clean. Many of our Arlington clients pair brow wax with a regular hair service, so they never schedule it separately.
