Yes, when it is done by a trained professional with quality products.We use professional tints made for the eye area, and if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions, tell us at your consultation so we can plan around it. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, we can do a patch test first and we are honest about what is best for you.
How long does brow tinting last?
Brow tint typically lasts 3-4 weeks on the hair, with some color on the skin below for the first week that adds fullness. Most of our Arlington clients schedule every 3-4 weeks, often paired with their brow wax so everything stays consistent.
What shade should I choose?
At your consultation we recommend a shade based on your hair color, skin tone, and the look you want. We often suggest one to two shades darker than your natural brow for a defined but natural look. If you are unsure, start softer; you can go darker next time.
Can brow tinting help sparse or over-plucked brows?
Yes, it is one of the best uses for it. The tint colors even the finest, lightest hairs, making brows look fuller and more complete. It also stains the skin under sparse areas for the look of more hair. Tinting cannot regrow hair, but it makes the most of what you have.
Should I get my brows waxed before or after tinting?
Tint first, then wax. Once your brows are tinted, we can see the fine hairs that were invisible before, which lets us shape more precisely. We often do both in one appointment; tell us when you book and we sequence them for the best result.
Will I still need to use brow products?
Most clients skip their daily brow routine entirely after tinting, and that is the point. For special occasions you can still add product over your tinted brows. Day to day, most of our Arlington clients love waking up with brows that already look done.
What should I avoid after brow tinting?
For the first 24 hours, keep your brows dry and skip exfoliating products, heavy creams, or oils near them. That lets the tint fully set so it lasts longer. After that, your normal routine is fine, just keep harsh exfoliants off the brows. We give full aftercare instructions.
